Finding support
Finding support
Our books are written for hard seasons. They are meant to sit alongside real support, never to stand in for it.
If you are carrying something heavy right now, please tell a real person. A doctor, a counselor, a pastor, or someone who loves you. That is not a failure of faith. It is what people are for.
If you are in crisis
If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
- 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Call or text 988, any hour of any day, anywhere in the United States.
- Crisis Text Line. Text HOME to 741741.
Finding ongoing help
- SAMHSA National Helpline. 1-800-662-4357. Free, confidential, around the clock, for mental health and substance use. They will refer you to local treatment.
- Your local hospice. Most hospice organizations run bereavement support groups that are free and open to the whole community, not only to families they served. This is one of the least known and most useful resources for grief in the United States.
- GriefShare. Church-hosted grief recovery groups meeting in thousands of locations. A good fit if you want support that shares your faith.
- Your doctor. Grief and anxiety are physical as well as spiritual. A physician is a reasonable first call.
A note on what our books are
Soulborn publishes devotional and reflective companion books drawn from the King James Version of the Bible. They are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.
